The interior is very impressive, with excellent state-of-the-art facilities for the players, officials, media and the spectators.
The exact nature of the pitch though is a point of conjecture. The two club standard matches played on it in June during the Moroccan Cup – one-day test match, suggested that it would suit the spinners, but local observers have suggested that it has now hardened up, potentially offering the fast bowlers some pace and bounce.

The Tangiers Cricket Stadium is quite a sight, flanked by green hills and bordered by the Straights of Gibraltar, the outfield sparkles emerald green in the sunlight while the pitch looks hard and flat.
Morocco has a pleasant Mediterranean climate and is cool during the sub-continental summer when it is difficult to hold sporting events in the region.

Tangier Cricket Stadium provides one of the best international facilities outside South Africa. Because of its proximity to Europe, it enables European and UK teams to come and practice in Tangier.

Tangier Cricket Stadium hosted its first International Tournament from 12^th to 21^st August 2002. Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka competed in a 50-overs one day triangular series, for a prestigious trophy and prize money of US$250,000. The tournament has been organised by the FRMC in association with the Sharjah-based Cricketers Benefit Fund Series. It was the first time international cricket has been staged in North Africa. Morocco is an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council, which has officially approved the venue and supports the development of cricket in Morocco as part of its long-term strategy to globalise the game.

The ICC has granted international status to the Tangier Cricket Stadium in Morocco, official approval that will allow it become north Africa's first international cricket venue.
The ICC's approval is backed by the endorsement of the ICC Anti Corruption Unit (ACU), which has audited the stadium against stringent security standards and protocols. Measures adopted will mirror those recommended by the ACU and implemented for cricket in Sharjah.
